To provide youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. The recommended age for this course is 11-15 years old. Babysitter’s Training students should arrive to class on time with a bagged lunch & drink. Parents are required to sign in students and leave an emergency contact number.

Great Class for Scouts, New Babysitters, kids watching their siblings and teens wanting to make extra money. The training helps participants to learn skills needed to be a safe, prepared, and fun babysitter!

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Participants will learn to watch out for safety issues and deal with fussy children; as well, new babysitters will become comfortable in dealing with basic first aid and keeping children safe during an emergency – give them the confidence and knowledge to be a great babysitter.
  • The training is designed to get your teenager ready for the exciting responsibilities of being a superstar babysitter!
